The Company
Archway Travel is a family run firm providing bus and coach transport for the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre areas, to anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales. Archway Travel was started in 1989 by Roger and Joan Archer with one Ford Transit minibus on contract to Lancashire County Council providing transport from Blackpool to a special needs centre in Lancaster. Another contract and minibus followed a year later, then the purchase of our first full coach, a 57 seater AEC/ Plaxton for private work. Over the years the fleet has grown to as many as 16 vehicles. Now managed by Michael Archer we have a wide range of vehicles to suit the needs of the local population. A number of Lancashire County Council contracts have been held continually since 1989, predominantly for school transport providing pupils with a service to and from school and school transfers to sports centres, swimming pools and so forth. We also work for a number of local schools taking pupils and staff on day trips all around the country. All our vehicles are also available for hire privately. Archway Travel are pleased to announce our new Excursion Brochure for 2006. We will be running various day trips from Blackpool every week day throughout the summer.
